two countries.
my roots originate from two beautiful people thousands of miles apart across oceans. both of them had the same dream of coming to the united states from their homelands of sweden and salvadoreños to live the american dream. when these two young souls were introduced to each other in los angeles, there was no hesitation in their love for each other, wanting to build a life together, and starting a family. rooted in love, respect, commitment, determination, and hard work they raised three boys in la mirada, california, and I am blessed to be the youngest. two immigrants found each other from different ends of the globe uniting and living most of their lives together in southern california.

statement of faith.
my loving parents saw me struggle in school with a speech impediment, shyness, and a feebleness that made me easy prey for bullies. in third grade I was placed in a Christian school in la mirada, california called lindsey school. it was here I asked Jesus Christ to come into my heart in June 1974. since that day I have journeyed through countless trials, deep valleys, high mountains, life-changing paths, and open doors, learning what it means to be a true follower of Christ. I am not religious, but a bible believing Christian. there is nothing i can do to get into heaven except place all of my faith in Jesus Christ as my God, my Savior, and my Friend. Christ paid the penalty for my sins with His death on the Cross, and rose from the grave three days after so my last breadth on this earth will be my first breadth in Heaven. until that day comes, i am here to love and glorify God in my daily walk and lead others to do the same. i am far from perfect in this short life, but I know God's grace is infinite and gives me the hope to finish this race with crowns. Amen.

swedish roots.
my father, Rolf Valter Pettersson, came to the united states at a very young age alone with very little in his pocket as a foreigner in a new land. crossing the States into the unknown, he found safe haven in an uncommon, small swedish youth community in hollywood, california. there he planted the seeds to start and build a new life finding his purpose as a father, husband, and loyal employee to a new trade in printing. rolf has an amazing story rooted in hard work, courage, and love, leaving a legacy for me to follow and learn. and now I have the responsibility to pass this story unto my son, elliot rolf peterson. may he discover the amazing people he shares in his swedish blood.

salvadorian roots.
my mother, berta alice melendez, was born in the capital el salvador of san salvador with ancestors from Spain, and immigrated to the states at a very young age with her mother, rosa, who wanted to protect and open new possibilities of the american dream for her daughter. raised in the catholic church and a catholic boarding school, berta was blessed to be surrounded by her salvadorian mother, sister, brother, aunts, and friends in Southern California away from the poverty and struggles of El Salvador. the american dream came early for berta as she matured and lived with her loving step sister, margarita, and step brother, enrique, who also immigrated to california with a new hope in the states.

endeavor to create.
i was raised and mentored in the printing and packaging industry in Los Angeles with front row seats to the digital evolution and internet revolution of the 90’s that continues today. working in top management for a folding carton manufacturer, my early roots of design and packaging started in AutoCAD, which quickly grew into full graphic design and rendering along with coding in C++, SQL, PHP, and other related languages for custom UI and database development. i published my first website in June 1996, and since then for 24+ years I've consistently designed and developed countless websites in the latest programming languages and eCommerce with full graphic art design and branding. my passion and endeavor today remains the same striving to be original.
